COPING WITH UNFULFILLING JOBS

Even if you have the best job on the planet, there may be days when you just can’t bear to get out of bed and go to work. The phrase, “I hate my job” is one of the most popular phrases amongst workers. But one thing worthy of note is that, saying it over and over again will not make the job go away or make one get a better job automatically.

However, we cannot ignore how depressing it is to get up every day and spend eight or more hours (a huge chunk of your day) at a place where you are unhappy or miserable. So let’s examine a simple and effective process for moving forward from this dreadful situation.

1.YOU ARE THERE FOR A REASON: Nothing in life happens by chance. Most if not all situations we find ourselves in, are either there as reciprocal effects of our previous thoughts, words, or deeds, or lovingly placed on our paths to teach us certain beneficial lessons, and enrich our spirits. We must remember that Divine Love is based on what benefits us as human beings, not necessarily what pleases us!

 Therefore, the first step to moving forward is to identify the reason why you have that job. You could be there to help shift the energy just by being the best version of yourself, each day. Look for opportunities for impact where you are now, live in the present, rather than thinking that you are supposed to be somewhere else. If you go back in time, you’d recall that you made a decision to have the job at a point, right? You were probably even praying for it! Even if you’re longing for something better – start doing your best in your current job.

2.  EMBRACE THAT REASON: Once you have found that opportunity, no matter how little to enable you express your real self on the job, then the next step is to move into acceptance and out of resistance. Do that little thing with all your heart. What is worth doing at all is worth doing well. Put in your very best at the job. No more complaining all the time, but shift your focus and energy on the good aspects of your job, this will create the right atmosphere for moving forward. At this stage, ignore the things you hate about the job and embrace all that you love no matter how little, this will give you some perspective, and you’d agree that even the ‘worst’ jobs are not all bad. See the ‘bad’ facets as lessons in cultivating patience or as challenges that will help you grow.

3.  BE THE CHANGE THAT YOU WANT TO SEE: Many a time, we are responsible for the unhappiness we feel about our jobs. So in moving forward, we must look at ways we could change those things we do not like. Instead of sitting down resenting your job and life, you can meet with your boss to address your concerns; you can examine how you possibly contributed to your unhappiness. What kind of vibes are you projecting to your boss and co-workers, what personality traits have you exhibited or what decisions have you taken that might be negatively impacting your feelings about your job? All these must be answered sincerely and changed, otherwise even after moving forward; you would keep finding yourself in similar situations because you, and not the job, may be the problem. So there is need for an objective personal assessment and improvement.

4.  ATTRACT YOUR DREAM JOB: The mistake some people make about jobs they dislike is that they keep complaining about it, without doing anything to set about getting their dream job. When you are always frustrated about current circumstances, you make an already bad situation appear worse than it really is, and the negative aspects of your job become magnified in your mind. Remember:What we focus on grows! But once you have the courage to release yourself from the resentment, you are better positioned to attract your dream job. You are able to put your energy towards conducting thorough research on other jobs that might suit you better. You could revise your resume to showcase your competencies and experience, and to communicate how you can add value to organizations. You could enroll for relevant certifications to upgrade and add to your skills. You could identify your passions and network with people with similar passions. You could leverage www.linkedin.com for networking.

These positive steps will set you on the right track towards moving forward to a new and more fulfilling job.

5.  SHOW LOVE AND GRATITUDE ALWAYS:  Gratitude is one of the keys that unlock the door of opportunities. Therefore, it is necessary to show gratitude to The Almighty Father for all the opportunities he has granted us by seeking and doing His Will at all times. We should also be grateful for seemingly unanswered prayers, knowing and trusting that everything including what we call ‘disappointments’, will always work out for our good when we earnestly and only desire what is right.

Above all, we should bear in mind that Love is the Strongest and Purest Force that fills, directs and blesses the entire Creation; and when we strive to open ourselves to It so that it fills our hearts and spreads out to everyone around us, we are simultaneously aligning ourselves with the Perfect Will of The Creator and by so doing, opening up the paths on which all His blessings will flow into our lives.

In conclusion therefore, loving our neighbours as ourselves, and seeking first The Kingdom of The Lord  (which in the real sense of the word means, recognizing and upholding His Will through our daily thoughts, words and actions), will ensure that every other good thing is added unto us; including that special job or business of our dreams.

Now here are my thoughts on the above words.
1. Watch out for false prophets....we should be alert..we should not be gullible and  accept what someone says just because they call themselves prophets (or pastors). we should weigh and examine. watch out also means they are around us and they are usually the ones we think are not false...

2. Wolves in Sheep's clothing....This means they are okay and acceptable on the outside but inwardly they are far from good. In essence, we should not just accept someone because they look like sheep. we should ensure they are really sheep on the inside (by their activities)  and not ferocious wolves.
3.Christ expects one thing and one thing alone from us.....Do the WILL of His Father in Heaven.  if you like call His name twenty times, pray with His name, Perform miracles, etc.....If you do not do The Will of His Father, He will not Know you and you will not make it back to Heaven.

The question now is .....Do we know The Will of His Father?????????????? 

WHAT WILL JESUS DO...

So a friend gisted me how she went for a night vigil and they were all told by the pastor to write down their problems on a piece of paper and start flogging that piece of paper in order to destroy or kill that problem. This they practically did all night. The next day she was so sore she couldn't even write. The hand she used to "flog" her problems hurt her so much she had to use medication before she could write with same hand.

This story though sounds funny gave me a lot to reflect on. A phrase came to my mind which is popular in the churches… ”what will Jesus do?” Did Christ tell us to flog our sorrows away? I doubt it.

I remember some of the words of Christ one being “Love your neighbours as yourself” another is “Seek ye first His Kingdom and His Righteousness, all other things shall be added unto you” yet another is “Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”. Amidst these sentences and some others he gave the solution to what we should do when in need.

Whatever you focus on, you attract to yourself hence the admonition Seek ye first His Kingdom and His Righteousness. Once you focus all your energy on the Lord, you attract all the good things of life that you need, if you focus all your energy on your problems, they remain with you.

Why spend a night vigil focusing on your problems when you can use same time and energy to look upwards in gratitude to the Immeasurable Grace and Love of the Lord. God is Love and with genuine Love in your heart for your Creator, your neighbours and yourself you please the Lord.

“Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” I don’t believe and I don’t think anyone believes that in heaven we spend our days fighting our ‘enemies’ and destroying our problems. I believe there is joyful activity, worship, bliss, peace, love, etc. So why don’t we practice same here on earth in order to fulfil this prayer?

The Book of Matthew especially chapters 6 and 7 should be read and put into practice by all who claim to be Christians and the World will be a better place. Christ has said "Not everyone who calls out to me Lord! Lord! will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the Will of my Father in Heaven will enter" I pray we seek The Will and do it. Amen!

A FAITHFUL WIFE IS A FAITHFUL HELPER

A faithful wife is more than just one who keeps her marital vows to her husband as is normally believed. Faithfulness involves much more than just deciding not to commit adultery. A nagging wife cannot be called faithful even if she does not commit adultery, so also a wife who does not keep the longing for the noble alive in her husband. A wife who does not support her husband’s endeavours or who competes with her husband cannot be called faithful. It is evident that faithfulness in a wife is much wider and broader than is the normal interpretation.

Faithfulness is a virtue from out of Purity and Love. It is our way of manifesting purity and Love. By purity is meant purity of thoughts, words and actions. This can only be achieved by knowing the Laws of Creation, understanding these Laws and attuning our thoughts, words and deeds to them.

A faithful wife is first and foremost a woman. So she must first realize who she is as a woman. She is a bridge between this world and the higher worlds. The Power from above which maintains and sustains Creation first reaches her, flows through her while she directs and uses this Power for the maintenance through her thoughts, words and actions. The Power naturally flows through her because that is her nature, irrespective of her standing. Unfortunately, woman has largely been misusing this Holy Power rather than use it for the right purpose of uplifting her environment.

Therefore, a faithful wife first has to be a faithful woman who fulfills her task in Creation by directing this Power for the ennoblement of her environment through her way of life. Once she uses this Power the right way, her husband and humanity in general will be helped making her a faithful helper as well.

A woman is also endowed with a very powerful intuitive capacity. She is able to discern right and wrong. She is more closely connected to nature and more sensitive to events than the man. So a faithful wife is able to support her husband in making the right decisions. This is evidenced in several cases of reports where a wife is able to prevent her husband from embarking on a trip and thereby saving him from a terrible accident. This is possible where a wife intensifies her longing for the noble and for her Creator thereby strengthening her intuition.

We cannot talk about a faithful wife without talking about love. There is a saying that a faithful wife is one who loves her husband above all else, but this saying is both limited and limiting; therefore, it should be that a faithful wife is one whose love for her husband does not overshadow her love for The Creator. A woman who loves her husband above all else will do anything to please him and this overindulgence will lead to indolence without her helping him. However, when a woman’s longing for salvation is so immense above all else, everything she does for her husband will be that which benefits him spiritually and this will help him a great deal. That is where true love resides, in doing that which benefits the other and in selfless service. When a woman is able to portray this love, she inspires her husband to strive for the ideal and do everything within his power to make her happy.

The advice now is for woman to once more truly become who she is willed by the Creator to be, she must change into one who lives ONLY in accordance to the WILL of the Almighty and nothing else. To live according to this Will is to know this Will which shows itself in the Laws of Creation and the commandments of The Lord. Every wife who strives with all her might to adjust her way of life to these laws and keep ALL the commandments of the Lord will be faithful to her Creator, her husband and humanity as a whole.

This is not to say that the man has no responsibility in this. He should once more recognize in woman the great help which she is for him, honour her and ensures he protects her and helps her into fulfilling her task instead of just seeing her as a play thing or as the usual “weaker” sex. Imagine a situation where Pontius Pilate had seen in his wife her high task and had listened to her admonitions to have nothing to do with the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Son of God would have been spared the gruesome murder and humanity would have been spared the enormous guilt.

The woman guides the man spiritually; the man protects the woman physically. Once these two strive to remain at their duty posts instead of competing with each other, the world would once more become as it should be, a Paradise on earth.

RAISING VIRTUOUS CHILDREN

‘Virtues’ are defined as “the characteristics of a person which supports individual moral excellence and collective well-being”. But beyond this definition, they are the noblest and purest of qualities such as courage, patience, humility, beauty, justice, and so on, which are the very essence of what is Spiritual, from whence man originates. A person of virtue therefore is one who has been able to make use of all the various conditions of his life through conscious, humble living in accordance with the Laws of Creation, to awaken every noble quality within him to full activity. He is one who through his way of life benefits and furthers all of life and his fellow men therein. Given the above, it is quite natural for the question to arise as to how children can be raised in such as a way as to preserve and awaken these innate virtues in them as is willed by The Creator; the following may guide us.

Ensure that only virtuous children are born: Many mothers often complain about having malicious children who behave like no other member of the family and they wonder how this could have happened, since it is generally though ignorantly believed that the behavior of a child can only determined or formed after birth. Contrary to this prevalent thought however, it begins long before the child is born.

Based on the knowledge that human beings are granted several incarnations on earth as a grace to give ample time for their spiritual development and maturity, once a woman becomes pregnant, there immediately surrounds her, several discarnate souls desirous of an opportunity to be born for the purpose of developing here on earth. Many factors can influence the nature of souls that become closely attracted to the expectant mother and also ultimately determine which particular soul incarnates and takes possession of the growing body. The Law of Attraction of homogeneous species which means ‘like attract like’ as well as The Law of sowing and reaping are two of such amongst others. The process of incarnation usually happens at the middle of pregnancy and that is when the expectant mother feels the first kicks of the baby. Thus, a woman who wishes to have a virtuous child must first of all strive to become a virtuous woman and will do well to ensure that her immediate surrounding is filled with people of similar disposition, because indeed ‘like always attracts like’. Also, she should strive to keep herself cheerful and happy, and keep her thoughts pure and free from all negativity.

Teach by example: After successfully going through the period of pregnancy and having the child, her first task is completed and the next is to ensure that the child grows up the right way. Children learn easily; and the words, actions and mannerisms they learn first are those of their parents and immediate environment especially their mothers. Those whose parents always exchange abusive words may be negatively influenced as will those who are exposed to all sorts of un-childlike activities in their home or surroundings. Therefore, people who wish to raise virtuous children must themselves strive to live as virtuous adults and by so doing teach by example.

Identify and teach them the virtues: At their age, children are very receptive and will easily absorb what they are constantly taught. Therefore as part of their necessary education, these virtues should be identified and taught to them as simply as possible using illustrations which portray the ‘rewards’ and benefits for themselves and others; for example the need to be honest, caring, or to treat others with respect and consideration etc. This is the simplest way for them to be introduced to the Laws of Creation (the Will of God) which governs all happenings, and learn to align themselves with It.

Let children be: Most parents already have a preconceived idea of what they want their children to become and do everything to influence and sometimes force them into towing that line. Some want to boast to their peers how intelligent their children are and so put them through all kinds of pressures to become intelligent or precocious unnaturally, all in the name of studies which eventually harm the children and take them away from their normal process of development. It is worthy to note that the parents do not “own” the child. Children are merely guests who are on their own journey towards development and it is the duty of their parents to nurture them in the best way possible based on their particular natures and needs which they must strive to discover until they are old enough to decide which paths they wish to follow.

Although parents oftentimes do this with the best of intentions, for example, in order to spare them many disappointments which they may personally have encountered while growing up, these efforts are unnecessary because no two human beings are meant to follow exactly the same path or have exactly the same experiences, and the parent-child relationship is no exception to this.

Children should be allowed to express themselves freely, by their parents or guardians who only need to guide and help them uncover their own abilities in a natural way rather than force them to become who they are not. In all this, the primary responsibility for raising a virtuous child falls on the woman. Her nature demands it for she has been endowed with all the virtues which if well cultivated and developed will enable her determine the spiritual nature of her offspring before birth and positively influence it after birth if only she wills honestly. But for this to be, she will need to align her entire way of life with the Laws of Creation which express the Will of The Almighty Father. Without any doubt, in a world where every woman truly lives aright, all the children therein would be nothing but virtuous.

Are You Being Lied to?

We have all experienced it at some point: that gut feeling that you are being lied to, that something isn’t quite right, or that someone is not telling you something you need to know.
Do you feel like there is something you don’t know because your partner has not shared something crucial with you? Even worse, do you suspect your partner is lying to you? There are countless possibilities, but here is a list of common reasons why your partner may not be honest with you. Peruse the list of questions, and take note of any situations that seem possible. Next, review the possibilities you’ve noted. Do you have evidence that any of these have occurred before? This exercise will help you get closer to discovering the truth. You may even discover that you’re the obstacle to your partner’s honesty.

1. Do you think your partner is embarrassed to tell you the truth? Are you approachable and trustworthy, so your partner will feel safe being honest with you?

2. Do you really want to hear the truth? Could you handle the whole truth? Maybe your partner is not being truthful because he or she is protecting you physically, emotionally, or sexually.

3. Is your partner leading a double life? Are they away frequently working overtime or on business trips? Have they distanced themselves both physically and emotionally? Consider that revealing the truth may bring your relationship to an end.

4. Is your partner cheating on you? Have you noticed a change in your intimacy, dialogue, and overall connection?

5. Do you get angry often? This may stop your partner from being honest with you out of fear of causing another upset.

6. Are you approachable? Do you include quality time in your schedule for your partner to share things with you? Maybe they just have not had a chance for a face-to-face serious talk.

7. Have you even asked for the truth yet? People will treat you the way you allow them to. If you let them get away with lies, they will tell more lies. Stand up for yourself and demand the truth.

8. Are you being dishonest too? Remember, you need to give the truth to get the truth.

9. Are you pressuring your partner too much? Maybe if you stop pressuring your partner for the truth, he or she will feel free to approach you on their own.

10. Consider that your partner already is being honest with you, but you just do not believe it. Maybe the issue lies in your own insecurity, and you are projecting dishonesty onto your partner. Are your insecurities harming your relationship?

You should talk to your partner calmly and request that he or she be completely honest with you about anything that is going on. If needed, bring up the specific possibilities you noted here. I know this may seem a little cold and calculated, but often it helps to tackle emotional feelings with a thoughtful and specific plan.

The American Presidential elections will take place in a few days time and frankly some questions still need to be answered. I wish that Governor Mitt Romney had put one of those questions particularly to President Barack Hussein Obama during their last Presidential debate which was on foreign policy. Permit me to put that question here and it is as follows. Why did the President bow so low before Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah four years ago during his first state visit to the Arab Gulf state and why did he feel the need to almost touch his toes with his forehead when he did so. It is a matter of historical record that no American President in the last 200 years has ever bowed so low before any foreign leader, Prime Minister, Head of State, President or monarch. It appears to me to be rather strange that Obama, on his first trip to the Middle East as President of the most powerful country on the planet, should literally prostrate before an Arab King whose country has an abominable record on human rights, civil liberties, the rights of women and religious minorities and where the system of government is a totalitarian and absolute monarchy. Luckily a picture was taken of that celebrated event and that picture really does tell us something about the American President’s mindset. Yet it does not stop there.

On that same trip four years ago, after leaving Saudi Arabia, Obama toured the greater part of the Middle East and Egypt and in speech after speech he apologised to the Arabs for American policy in the Middle East over the previous 50 years. He did this despite the fact that in most of those countries christians,shia muslims and ethnic minorities have no rights at all and even though they have been killed, persecuted and supressed for many decades. Again he did this even though none of those countries were democracies and even though all of them, except for two, have refused to acknowledge the right of the Jewish State of Israel to even exist.This left a bad taste in the mouth of many at the time and the question that came to my mind was whether the ”Hussein” was coming out of the ”Barak Hussein Obama” more than the ”Barak” itself was. Yet whatever anyone may feel about the issue of his touching his toes with his head and his bowing before the Saudi king, as far as I am concerned, President Obama is not what he appears to be. There is far more to him than meets the eye. A couple more questions will suffice to illustrate this point.

Why is it that each time Barak Obama is about to submit himself for a Presidential election and seek a mandate from his people there is a raging, monuemental, earth-shattering and record-breaking freak of a storm which kills numerous people in America? It happened a few days before his Presidential election in 2008 and it is has just happened again a few days before his Presidential election in 2012. Again why is it that on the first day of the convention of the opposition Republican party, both in 2008 and again this year, yet another violent and dangerous killer storm hit the towns in which the two conventions were held causing them both to be partially disrupted? What is Obama’s relationship with the elemental forces? What is his relationship with God or some lesser deity? What is his source of power and what is his spiritual foundation? There is no doubt that he is a powerful orator and that he delivers brilliant speeches that mesmerises his audience. Yet so did Adolf Hitler and we all know what he was. I ask these questions because President Obama has supported every anti-christian and anti-faith policy that the American permissive state has thrown up and endorsed in recent years. The violation and literal denunciation of these religious core values, in my view, betrays the unfolding of an illicit,dark, sinister and subterranean anti-Christ agenda which must be rejected by all true men and women of faith. They must be renounced by every christian, every jew and every muslim and indeed all those that truly espouse the noble values and virtues of any of the three Abrahamic faiths. They must be rejected by all those that believe in the supremacy and efficacy of a monotheic God whose core values and holistic principles and standards are worthy of emulation and of being respected and cherished. There are many examples of these gross violations of our core religious values but permit me to share just four of them with you here. Firstly, President Obama has endorsed a woman’s right to have an abortion and he has publically denounced ”the right to life” of unborn babies. Secondly, he has endorsed same-sex marriages. Thirdly, he has consistently supported homosexuality and the rights of homosexuals and lesbians. And fourthly, and perhaps the most disturbing of all, he has endorsed the right of same-sex couples to adopt and raise children. Quite apart from these four Obama has also endorsed all manner of social perversions and deviant behaviour in the name of humanism, ”new age” liberalism and the permissive American state. No true believer or person of faith can possibly accept such practices, endorse such values and still stand right before God.

To put the cake on the icing let me make one more point. Rev. Jene Robinson, a vocal and practising homosexual, whose ordination as a Bishop split the Anglican Church in America into two, was specially selected by Obama to deliver the invocation of the name of God and prayers at the beginning of the inaugral weekend of his inauguration ceremony as President in 2008. What message was Obama trying to send to America and to the world by insisting on this?

Outside of the area of social and religious values President Obama has also failed in the area of foreign and domestic policy. A few examples will suffice. The unprecedented number of drone attacks in Pakistan and Afghanistan which has led to record highs in the number of deaths of innocent muslim civilians, women and children in both countries. The alienation of Pakistan and Afghanistan as key allies in the war against terror. The destabilization of north Africa and the opening of the door for Islamist insurgents in the north African Arab Sahel states and the west African sub-region. The display of weakness and procrastination before Iran and its covert agenda to build a nuclear bomb. The display of double standards in the State of Bahrain and the over-pampering of the Arab Gulf states. The sheer mess that has been created in Syria and the indecision and procrastination of the Obama administration who have abandoned the opposition forces in that country even as thousands of innocent people are being slaughtered by Assad’s brutal regime.The insincerity of purpose and sheer coldness being displayed towards Israel and the indifference to her dangerous and existential plight. The disdain and contempt shown to all people of faith, the evangelical movement, the christian far-right and the vision of the old Pilgrim Fathers that founded the great country that is known as the United States of America.

The removal of the words “God” and “Israel” from the Democratic Party Convention. The disastrous handling of the American economy that has acquired a five trillion dollar deficit in the last four years. The rise of Islamic fundamentalism in Mali and Nigeria due to a shortsighted and reckless policy in Libya. The taking of power by the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and the rise in power of Al Shabbab in Somalia and East Africa. The inexplicable refusal to declare Boko Haram (the Islamist terror group that is bombing and killing thousands in northern Nigeria) as a terrorist organisation.The gradual turning of America into a quasi- welfarist state where ”big government” reigns and in which the traditional engine room of growth that is known as the American middle class is being systematically weakened and destroyed. The desecration of the traditional family unit and good old fashioned christian values by the adoption of strange and liberal “new age” practices, values and philosophies. The inability to protect the lives of American diplomats living abroad and the lack of firm reprisals after the killing of the American Ambassador and other Americans by terrorists in Libya. The massive foreign debt that America has acquired in the last four years. The huge quantum of cash that America is is now owing China and so on and so forth.

These are just some of Obama’s disastarous legacies and sadly the mistakes he has made in his foreign policy in north Africa particularly impacts on us directly in Nigeria and in Weet Africa. Let me give you just one example of that. Had it not been for the fall-out of the mess in Libya and the brutal way in which Muammar Ghadaffi, the Libyan leader, was murdered in cold blood one year ago, his Taureg friends and allies in north Africa would not have been inspired and driven to take over northern Mali and create a Taliban-style islamic fundamentalist state there and northern Nigeria would not have been flooded with jihadist footsoldiers and all manner of sophisticated arms and bombing devices for usage by Boko Haram.

With Obama all we see and hear are beautiful and inspirational speeches, a good deal of doublespeak, a failed economic policy and a weak, dangerous and thoroughly uninspiring foreign policy. Worst still all we see in Obama’s African policy is unpredictability, chaos, the appeasement of terrorists and utter confusion. Given this I cannot come to any other conclusion than the fact that President Barrack Hussein Obama cannot be trusted with America or indeed the world for the next four years. In my view he is a very mysterious, strange and complex man and sadly he has proved to be a thoroughly disappointing President. Consequently my prayer is that Governor Mitt Romney defeats him in the Presidential election which will hold Tuesday 6th November. If he does not I fear that the much predicted “beginning of the end” of America as a world economic power may have just begun. With China on the rise, Russia waxing strong, Brazil, India and Japan flexing their muscles and the European Union finally beginning to take shape and find her feet, in the next twenty years the world will be a very different place and America may no longer be “prima inter pares” (the first amongst equals). Only Romney can stop that downward trend. I am aware of the fact that, given Obama’s ancestry, this may not be a popular position to take amongst those of us that are people of colour and that are Africans but nevertheless it is still my position. I may be wrong but at least I have provided some food for thought. God bless America.
